Frequently Asked Questions

Coaching and counseling both support relationships, but they serve different purposes:
Counseling focuses on healing and addressing past wounds or deep emotional struggles. It’s often for couples working through trauma, serious conflict, or mental health challenges. A licensed therapist or counselor helps process these issues and provides therapeutic interventions.
Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented. It’s designed to help couples gain clarity, improve communication, and build a stronger foundation for the future. Coaching is best for couples who want to be more intentional, navigate transitions, or enhance their relationship skills.
-
We totally understand wanting to test the waters before committing to a full package! However, because each service is designed with a unique structure and flow, the cost of a one-on-one session cannot be applied to a package.
-
Ideally, yes! Marriage and relationship coaching works best when both partners are actively engaged. However, if one of you wants to start first or there are specific concerns to address, we can discuss a plan that fits your situation.
-
Absolutely! Coaching isn’t just for couples in crisis—it’s for anyone who wants to be more intentional, improve communication, or strengthen their connection. Many couples use coaching as a way to proactively invest in their relationship rather than waiting until challenges arise.
-
Nope! While pre-marital coaching is designed to help engaged couples prepare for marriage, it’s also great for dating couples who want to build a strong foundation before getting engaged. The tools and discussions apply whether you’re walking down the aisle soon or just exploring the future together.
-
Coaching and counseling serve different purposes (see above), and if at any point we believe a licensed therapist or counselor would be a better fit for your needs, we will absolutely let you know and provide referrals if needed. Our goal is to ensure you get the right kind of support for your relationship.
-
Most couples meet bi-weekly, but we can adjust based on your schedule and what makes the most sense for your relationship. The goal is to give you enough time between sessions to reflect and apply what we discuss while keeping momentum.
-
We offer both! If you’re local and prefer in-person coaching, we can arrange that. Otherwise, virtual coaching is just as effective and gives you more flexibility. The marriage retreat is always in-person to create a focused, immersive experience.
-
Life happens! If you need to reschedule, just let me know at least 24 hours in advance, and we’ll find another time. If a session is missed without notice, it will count as one of your sessions in the package.
-
Yes! We often work with small groups, churches, and organizations looking to provide marriage coaching, workshops, or conference-style sessions. Whether it’s a small group study, a leadership retreat, or a marriage conference, we can tailor sessions to fit your group’s needs.
